Girl Student: I like your haircut!
Me: Thanks! So sweet of you to notice.
Girl Student: [gestures to her neighbor] Ryan told me you got one.
Me: Ryan noticed?
Ryan: Yeah. I like it.
Me: Well, thanks.
Ryan: [dreamy pause] I like hair.
